Army orders in confronting immigrants – racist bigotry on Kos!

Pro-Golden Dawn military officers are General Staff Lieutenant General Tellidis and the Minister of National Defense P. Kammenos

Despite statements made by the political and military armed forces leadership and the SYRIZA-ANEL government in striving to exhibit a human face in regards to dealing with immigrants, in reality there’s a war taking place against them in the Aegean and throughout the Mediterranean.
But a war, as in all wars, has perpetrators and victims.
With protagonists as well, not only those engraving policies at the Pentagon headquarters but also those officers and commissioned officers called upon to implement them.
And there on the front line, at frontier island outposts, goldendawn officers reveal all their brutality. Certainly the Army leadership – reminder that Staff Conclusions after the murder of Pavlos Fyssas was made public with great satisfaction by the former Minister of National Defense D. Avramopoulos that there are no nazis in the Armed Forces… fairytales… Read what is happening on Kos in the letter a discharged Infantryman reported:
REPORTED LETTER
With the opportunity of the 42nd anniversary of the uprising at the Polytechnic University against the Junta Colonels, I would like to say a few things that took place during the time I was an infrantryman in the frontier as regards to refugees and the army line we were given, in other words how to confront them in case they invaded the camp.
Let’s take it from the start.
I went to the island in April. At first things were alright. Afterwards, I was sent to an outpost, at a place near Imia together with a God-only-knows Sergeant. We also had officers telling us that refugees are not people AND HAVE NO PLACE in our country and good on Golden Dawn etc. fascist rantings and an officer asked me if I’m a communist.
I answered, no, just that I’m not a fascist.
The time at the outpost passed and I returned to the camp and at a garrison report, the Officer on Duty (with the position of Captain) said to be careful when we’re not in the camp and to not be like Albanians and Gypsies, because the image of our camp would be injured.
Since there were reactions to what he said, he then retracted and started saying things like he didn’t mean it in that sense.
I went to the outpost again and he said that if any refugee comes not to give any food to eat, or water, only if the Seargeant orders us to and also the Seargeant was on the Golden Dawn site on his pc every night!
Towards the end I was transferred to another army camp on the island and there the worst took place, that totally frustrated me.
It was afternoon and we were being told that the “illegals”, as the officers would say, will invade the camp and take everything. We should take the batons from the military police to BEAT them and many other things.
Against racism, fascism and authoritarianism against the world’s poor irrespective of religion, colour and origin we raise the shield of solidarity and resistance – to take the situation in our own hands!!!
